Network Engineer

Within Department Network (5 FTE), you will be responsible for the management, configuration and design of our network. The Worldstream network is currently 10Tbit/s in size. This requires continuous monitoring and optimisation.

What will you be doing?
Within the Network department (5 FTE), you will be responsible for managing, configuring and designing our own 10Tbit/s network. This network is the solid foundation of our infrastructure and requires continuous monitoring and optimisation. The department is also responsible for expanding our own WEN (Worldstream Elastic Network) product portfolio based on eVPN/VxLan. Besides managing our infrastructure, the department supports the Customer Support department in troubleshooting complex network-related tickets and cooperates with our colleagues from Sales in designing customer solutions.

What do we require?

• HBO working and thinking level;
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the hosting/ISP industry;
• Experience with Cisco CCNP;
• Knowledge and experience with linux;
• Experience in setting up Low Level Designs;
• Master of troubleshooting and root-cause analysis;
• Expert on TCP/IP;
• Experience with Arista or Nokia is a plus;
• Experience with Python or Ansible is a plus;
• Participation in standby services.
